Sri Lanka: Former IGP assumes duties as Governor of demerged North

Former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Victor Perera, Saturday assumed duties as the first Governor of Northern Province in an event held at the chief secretariat of the Northern Provincial Council (NPC) located at Varothiayar Nagar, Trincomalee, sources said.
